Q. What is Oneeko?
A. Oneeko allows you to recreate real world interaction by enabling a true voice, video and content sharing interaction between participants regardless of distance. Oneeko brings visual content to any telephone conversation using a very simple two button approach that makes sharing your screen easy and fun. You can invite your guests and be sharing your screen in a matter of seconds. Since Oneeko runs 100% in Flash, your guest will connect instantly through their browser with no download require.
Oneeko features Intelligent Skype Integration, allowing you true instant click-to-collaborate capabilities. When Oneeko detects Skype in use, it will discreetly prompt you for a screen sharing session, offering you a one click access to share content from your PC with colleagues and customers.
Q. What can I do with Oneeko?
A. Oneeko is uniquely suited to give people (regardless of their technological background) a very easy to use tool that quickly extends their regular over-the-phone sales pitch (audio-only conversation) into a much more effective “see together what we are talking about” communication, akin to people meeting face-to-face. It is ideal for sales (presentations and product demos) and any other type of one-to-one online collaboration.

Q. How do I start sharing my screen?
A. Once you have downloaded Oneeko, an icon will appear on your desktop. Simply double click it and Oneeko is up and running. You can send someone an invitation using Skype, email or the Internet. Remember to start sharing; someone has to get connected to you first!
- The fastest way to invite someone is through Skype. If you are talking to someone on Skype, you can send them an invitation by clicking on the Invite button. An invitation is sent to that person through the Skype Chat service. When that person clicks on the link in the Chat message, they will be connected to you and you are ready to start showing your screen.
- You can send an invitation by email or chat. To send an invitation by email, click on the Email option. When you click on this button, a new message window will be opened using your default email program that contains an invitation link. Enter the email addresses of the people you would like to invite to your Oneeko session and select Send. An invitation will be sent to all of the email addresses containing a link to your session. When the link is clicked, your guests will be connected to you and you are ready to start showing your screen.
To send an invitation through a chat message, click on Chat. This will copy the invitation link into the clipboard. You can then paste the link into a chat message using Ctrl-V or Paste.

Q. What is Oneeko’s privacy policy and how do you safeguard my personal information?
A. Oneeko has a strong privacy policy and will not disclose any of your personal information to third parties nor will we ever sell or rent your personal information to third parties. We will never share your personal information with another Oneeko user. Please click Oneeko Privacy Policy to view our privacy policies.
Q. Is my Oneeko session secure?
A. Your Oneeko session is completely private and secure. All online meeting data is encrypted end-to-end which means that data encrypted by the Host remains encrypted as it passes through the server and is decoded only by the Guest client. An Oneeko server acts solely as a go between the Host and the Guest(s) and never stores any information being shared during an online meeting. Therefore, there is absolutely no possibility for someone to retrieve your meeting data from our servers.
Q: How does Oneeko work with firewalls and proxy servers?
A: For an Oneeko host sitting behind a firewall, you need to open TCP ports 1074 and 1087 for bi-directional traffic. However, guests (people you as the host invite to Oneeko session) don't need to open any ports to connect (the guest client works "tunnels" through firewalls when necessary).
Q. What affects the performance of an Oneeko session?
A. There are several things that can affect the performance of an Oneeko session. They are:
- Speed of the Internet connection
- The performance of your firewall and proxy servers, if your computer is behind a company firewall
- Your desktop’s background design. A detail background design creates more data that Oneeko has to transmit. To speed up the performance of Oneeko, the background color should be changed to a solid color.
Q. When I have more than one guest connected on a session, Oneeko seems to slow down. Why does this happen?
A. The way Oneeko works is the speed is adjusted to run at the slowest connection of all of your guests. This way everybody is seeing the same thing at the same time. If you have one guest that has a real slow connection, then things will be slowed down for everyone.
Q. How do I make changes to my account information?
A. If you need to make changes to your account, log onto to Oneeko account and select the My Oneeko Account option on the Menu button that is on the left hand side of the Oneeko window. The My Oneeko Account window is displayed. Enter any changes you would like to make to your account. Once you have made all of your changes, select Update Account to save your changes and exit the window or Cancel to exit without making any changes to your account.
Q. What if I forgot or want to change my password?
If you forgot your password and need it resent to you, click on the “What is my password?” on the Oneeko Host Login screen. You will be brought to the Oneeko Password Reminder page. Enter your User ID and select Send. Your password will be sent to the email address you entered when you created your account. If your email address has changed, please contact Oneeko Support.
Q. I found a software bug. What should I do?
A. Please contact Oneeko Support to open a support ticket. Please provide as much information as possible regarding the problem that occurred, so we can duplicate it on our system. You will receive a return e-mail with 24 hours. We are committed to addressing our customer’s problems and concerns in a timely manner.
Q. I've tried to connect a number of times and I keep getting an error message that says the server is off-line or I am already connected with another guest.
A. The easiest thing to do to clear this problem is to press the Ctrl-Alt-Delete keys, start Task Manager, click on the Processes tab, highlight ONEEKO.EXE and click on End Process. Once you have completed these steps, restart Oneeko.
Q. When I run the program from the desktop icon the first time, the Oneeko window opens. However, every time after that, I double click the icon and nothing happens.
A. The easiest thing to do to clear this problem is to press the Ctrl-Alt-Delete keys, start Task Manager, click on the Processes tab, highlight ONEEKO.EXE and click on End Process. Once you have completed these steps, restart Oneeko.
Q. My web cam doesn’t work with Oneeko. How can I get my web cam to work with Oneeko?
A. Oneeko supports web cams through the Flash player, so your problem seems to be related to Flash not being able to use your camera. There is one thing that you can try. When you open the Oneeko Host but before you activate your webcam, do the following:
1) Right-click with your mouse in the middle of the Host window
2) Select "Settings..."
3) Click on the Camera Icon (4th icon from the left)
This is where you select which camera (video source) you want Flash to use. The drop-down menu shows all available video sources of your PC. Select the one that seems to be the name of your webcam. Close that panel and then try to activate Oneeko webcam.

A. To get Oneeko running with Windows 7, you need to go to the following link, download and install the update:
