Oneeko's Simple How-To

Oneeko Screen Sharing.

 

STEP 1 - One time initial installation.

You can install a single license of Oneeko on 2 computers (but you can only screen share at one at a time).

1 - Download and install.

2- Once the install is completed, you must start Oneeko by double clicking the icon on your desktop.

3- If you already have an account, enter your credentials or create a new one. (If you are planning to use the EkoAccess feature for this computer, make sure you keep the "Remember Me" box checked).

4- Ready to roll!

STEP 2 - Invite guest to share your screen with.

1 - { start Oneeko and login, if not done already }

2- Invite your guest by either:

Email - click the Send An Email button and it will pre populate an email with the invite
Chat - click the Copy and Paste button and paste the link in your favorite Chat client.
Via the web - Point your guest(s) to Oneeko.com or your own web site if you have installed the invite panel, and ask them to enter your user ID.

3- Once you see in the top bar "A Guest Has Connected With You", click on the Show Screen icon and you're sharing!

EkoAccess feature (from within Oneeko).

 

 

Once Oneeko is install with your credentials on your computer and you enable the EkoAccess feature, you will be able to access that computer from anywhere in the world by simply logging in from a regular web browser.

By default this feature is not enabled!

To enable (one time setup):

1 - From the button / select EkoAccess settings

2- Enter the name of the computer (you can install Oneeko on up to 2 computer on the same license). You will be prompted to create a second password that will be stored only on your computer. No one else will have access to this password. Remember it!

3- Check the "Enable Ekoaccess" box

To use the remote access you need to keep the "Remember Me" settings enabled. on the login page. That way your Oneeko host will always be listening if you are trying to login from elsewhere. Obviously, you need to keep the computer turned on and connected to the internet.

To use:

1 - With any browser, from anywhere, go to ekoaccess.com or this page and login with your screen sharing Oneeko credentials (the same ones you would use to share your screen). THERE WILL BE NO SOFTWARE TO INSTALL OR DOWNLOAD!

2- Wait for the computer name you are trying to connect to appear and select it.

3- You will be prompt for your local password.

4- That's it! You're in! Get a file, check your email ...
